Curious if anyone out there has info on 58-0539. I have found this plane in a man's backyard. It was bought from Trident Tech college, and is in rough but complete condition. My main question about it is the wing attach bracket on the fuselage is broken from mishandling of the fuselage. Can this bracket be easily replaced? (wings are off) The only other thing I know to give a clue to its past, is that it has a yellow and black checkerboard painted on the tip of the vertical stabilizer. Thanks for the help!

Here is the scoop on that T-bird, directly from Doug Slowiak.
That's N37998 that went to South Carolina during 1977. Was reg'd 29SEP77. Still is carried on the FAA records as being with Trident.
It went to Davis-Monthan for storage 17DEC74 and outprocessed 8JUN77 bound for the school.
If it's got black and yellow chex on the fin, there's a 50-50 chance it served with the 57th Fighter Weapons Wing at Nellis but the boneyard records don't show who the owner was when it arrived in Tucson.
