Vickers Vicsount just sittin' around........

This is sitting around at the Brownsville International Airport in TX. It looks pretty dang derelict to me. They said that they weren't going to get rid of it though. I asked why it was so important to scrap the two C-47's and try to scrap the PBY when the Viscount looks about as bad as any of those. They said that they will use the Viscount for the training of the airport fire fighters for emergency evacuation of passengers. Their plan is to spend a lot of money on it to "fix it up" so it's not an eyesore. Sounds unlikely to me, but maybe I'm just a bit skeptical because I was watching the scrappers dismantle the C-47's this past week while I was removing the PBY.

Something for us to keep a watchful eye on anyway.
