Warbirds International latest issue

Against my better judgement I picked up the latest issue, Nov, Dec, 2006.
I bought it based on the "restoring a DeHavilland Mosquito" article.
What a dissapointment! while the pictures were very nice, of the Reproduction! fuselage, produced by Glynn Powell and co. I was amazed in reading the article that not one word of mention of how the fuselage was produced or by who!!
This magazine is supposed to be a feature news magazine on restorations, is it not? yet the article details the basic history of the subject Mosquito, for about 75 percent, then a very short review of how the Canadian Historical Aircraft Assoc. is restoring the airplane.
I am amazed that there was not one word or credit given to Glynn Powell.
The article gives the distinct impression that the CHAA produced the fuselage!
I cannot believe that a magazine devoted to restoration could omit such a key facet of this restoration, as without Mr Powell this would still be a collection of parts, no more.
I am also certain that the Museum would have liked to see credit given to the actual builder of the fuselage.
What a terrible magazine, I imagine it will be another few years before I am conned into buying one!
Does anyone actually proof the content??

Can't comment on the WI article as I haven't seen it, but if you are interested in Glynn's projects we did an article about the time the fuselage halves were joined. If you want a copy I can probably dig a spare one out of the storeroom for you, PM me your postal address.

I am so incredibly impressed with the work and efforts of Glynn Powell, and it was just a shame to see a magazine dedicated to Warbirds not even give it a passing mention, I would expect that of a newspaper article, hardly from a specialist magazine.
Which is why I subscribe to your magazine, and maybe pick one of theirs up every few years.

If I would you lotus 49, I would send the exact thing you just wrote to the email address in the letters to the editor section of WI. It will be read by those responsible for not including that info.

I posted some shots on webshots of Yagens mossie in New Zealand. I can tell you first hand this is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It is a very long way away from flying though. The fuselage is being fitted out and the wing is in que, as they say. I hope more operators invest in this unique opportunity. I have lots more pics if anyone wants more posted.
