"We have received exciting news from Mackenzie Cline of the Timmermans Aircraft Collection that Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 WNr 161471/N109GF has been acquired by TAC and is being shipped to TAC’s headquarters at Chatham-Kent Airport in Ontario, Canada. This ultra-rare aircraft has been restored by Rare Bird Aviation at Meidi Airport in Fertoszentmiklos, Hungary. Well-known test pilot Klaus Plasa, who has appeared several times in AIR CLASSICS, undertook the flight test program."

TAC also owns a P-51D painted as "Double Trouble Two" and a Hawker Sea Fury, if I'm not mistaken. Nice collection taking shape!

Awesome! I hadn't heard about the Spitfire. Great to see another collection on the rise in Ontario and it sounds like the P-51 and Sea Fury have made made a few public appearances already. Here's hoping more are in the future!

I'm excited about it, having grown up in the area. This is going to be a maintenance challenge for Stampede Aviation, which I believe is affiliated with Mr. Timmerman although I have seen a different owner listed. They have a Harvard as well as the Mustang, Sea Fury, and Spitfire.

CYCK is a sleepy airport with one 5002x75 runway. The width might be more of a concern than the length. If there's a crosswind, I'd guess you leave the 109 on the ground. If the wind changes while airborne, Windsor is close by.

It will be interesting to watch this situation develop.

I guess the best description would be 'a Buchon, reconfigured to be as close to a 109G as possible'. Doesn't distract too much from how it looks and sounds if you ask me.
