F6F-5E Hellcat NATC aircraft is on the ground. The 34 view shows the radone configuration.1944 NAS Patuxent MD.
One of the few F6F-5E Hellcats. The APS 4 was not as an effective air intercept radar but was better for navigation and bombing.

Some interesting loadouts for sure! I had to look up the 11.75inch rocket, the "Tiny Tim" as in picture #1 it sure looked like a prop hazard upon firing!

Wiki says :A problem with the sheer power of the rocket motor causing damage to the firing aircraft was resolved by having the Tiny Tim drop like a bomb, and a lanyard attached to the rocket would snap, causing the rocket to ignite.[3] Common targets included coastal defense guns, bridges, pillboxes, tanks, and shipping....
