Jim -- if you're coming from Bristol, you ought to make a low pass through "Warbirds over the Beach" it's the same weekend and it's a heckuva lot closer than exciting Havelock! :)

Ed - not Bristol, VA - but Bristow, VA - opposite end of the state in Northern VA. Still a very long way from Havelock, NC (335 miles +or-) vs. VA Beach which is about 200 miles +or-. Warbirds Over the Beach is a great event and worthwhile, and I would love to be there - but for cost and time I will be limiting the weekend to Cherry Point this year. Loved seeing the Mosquito, Lancaster and other MAM warbirds at Hamilton, ON last year!

:)

Wish I could. Too much to do and a funeral. :(

Went on Sunday, I was a little disappointed. Seemed like the acts only went up once when the program said they would go up twice.
The Horsemen were good, first time I saw a Tigercat in flight. Don’t want to be one of those people who say “don’t fly the airplanes”, but is worth doing formation flight with a Tigercat? It doesn’t need the support of two Bearcats.
The WWII/Korean stuff was parked far away and you couldn’t go see them, which sucked.
Quonset Air Museum had some nice stuff there that you could touch.
The Heritage flight and Screamin’ Sasquatch were great.
