A colleague of mine – an Canadian expat has returned from leave informing all (who care to listen) that there is a strong chance of an Aleutian Tiger coming back to life. For us Australians, this is not in the same criteria as the Tasmanian Thylacine but a Curtiss P-40 Kittyhawk (Warhawk for some). My first thought was perhaps Mr Fagen had another project, but this does not appear to be the case. It seems that a P-40K-10-CU of the 343rd Fighter Group which operated out of Amchitka Island is a good candidate according to our Lumberjack friend (cue music from Monty Python) Never one to ignore rumours I figured Louis may be on to something. Is there anyone or group aware of such a rebuild? if so are there anymore specifics?
