The following scans are from a Booklet on the Gunnery School. Comments on the pages
are from my uncle Norman (PUD) Kerr. Just thought that maybe some of you would be
interested.

It always amazed me that, despite the pressures of wartime, units and schools took the time for these yearbooks; pretty neat. I've always had a soft spot for Tyndall. I did my 4-week ROTC summer training there in '88 and have traveled back over the years for all of my altitude chamber refresher courses. It's an absolutely pristine setting and the sights and sounds of F-15s (and now F-22s) in the pattern overhead don't hurt the ambiance either! To the east, Cape San Blas is known to have one of the most dog friendly beaches in the US, so we have spent some vacation time there as well.

John, thanks for this posting, I too have an interest in Tyndall.

I have always been interested in that area of Florida.
When I was a kid, we fished for King's offshore of Panama City FL, & there were always a bunch of different types flying overhead, F105's 102's F-4's, 100's man, you name it, they were flying them down there. (these were during the Nam years, & Cold War years).
My Dad being an old P-51 driver was allway's asking " What's That One? I guess it's JUST YOUNG MEN IN A HURRY. LIKE WE USED TO BE!"
Bout time a good bunch of were coming over the boat, the Kings would start making strikes, & I was reminded, "Boy were out here to fish, not stare at airplanes!"

Nice! I too have a soft spot for that field, as an Air Force Junior ROTC cadet in the 1980s, our unit used to do an annual field trip there, back when QF-106s and F-4s were still easily seen. Like everyone else in my class that was in the program, I went to another branch of the military, but I never forgot those trips or the airshows I went to into the mid-1990s.
