Hello , today we went out to see the f104 at six flags. it was awesome. real easy to find. thanks for the direction on the other tread. it looks good. the wings are sunk into the ground real bad. front damage looks rough like a truck hit it. the interoir is stripped out but the ejection seat look to be there and intact.active? hope not. the engine doesnt look to be there. theres a wooden plug in there and trash. canopy is open to the elements. its worth the trip to see her . it really needs to be protected from further decay. my second trip on my way to a family thing was a stop at the closed marlboro airport. it was shut down about 10 years ago. i went throught the hangers. garbage all over. the only score was a rusty sae 20 spline front half of a radial engine crank with a wicked bend in it. thats now in my collection of saved "junk". if your planing a trip to the jet dont waite till the park opens. its posted no trespassing all over the place and the location is right next to what looks like a active repair building. lots of stuff. Enjoy the pictures Robert http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/sharing/shareRedirectSwitchBoard.jsp?token=678960184408%3A1131600898&sourceId=533754321803&cm_mmc=eMail-_-Share-_-Photos-_-Sharee

Nice Photos. Having lived and worked right around that area I can imagine that some developer hasn't built condos on the old airport by now. Thanks for sharing.

Here is a link to a lot of pics from Marlboro. A lot of civilian stuff and a F6F, A 26, AT 17, C 47's, L 13, L 5, and several other military aircraft.

If you look close in one of the L 5 pics the pilot leaning into the plane has his blood chit from CBI on the back of his jacket.

great pictures but its marlboro nj. you pics show a hanger that says Mass. on it. this is a real small place. i doubt anything bigger than a cessna would have made it in. its 20 minutes north of Six Flags in Jackson.

Who does this aircraft belong to? Still belonging to Six Flags? Is it at this airport?
