Sorry if this was posted already, but it appears the Helldiver restoration will be starting up again in Granite Falls.

Also some pics of current P-40K resto:

Where did this Helldiver come from? Is that the one that was advertised for sale a couple of years ago?

This is the SB2C-5 (Bu.83393) which used to be owned by Kevin Smith in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I used to see it regularly when I helped him with his SBD and UH-1A projects. Yes, it will be a flier, and yes, they have wings (although they need a lot of work!).

Cheers,
Richard

Richard speaks the truth! The restoration had started a few years back with Wichita Air Services. Good to see one more Beast getting some love again.

Its been exciting to see the high-quality restorations coming out of there for the last several years. Thank you for the heads-up on these new pages, Dan!

BTW, anyone able to confirm that the P-51D in this video (from the 3:10 mark) is Ron's 44-63864? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tfzxqHGryM I've heard that it is in an advanced-state of restoration/nearing completion at Tri-State.
