Here's a nice video from Sept. 3 of the latest progress on the FG-1D Corsair In Stratford, CT.
Wix'ers Cherrybomber and Warbird Kid are at the end.

Jerry,
You beat me to the punch on this one. We have began to pick up serious steam with the restoration. The CASC Board of Directors has officially made me the point of contact for any and all matters concerning work on the Stratford Corsair Restoration.

Major Blog update with video!:

http://monumentman.wordpress.com/2010/09/03/lights-cameras-action-video-action-from-the-stratford-corsair/

On Sept 7th in conjunction with the Collings Foundation - Wings of Freedom Tour, the Stratford Corsair will make a rare appearance
outside of the shop. We have been working very hard since the Corsairs over Connecticut show in May, 2010 and need to continue to raise funds to continue the restoration. Our display will be at Three Wings Aviation at the Igor Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford CT on Sept 7, 8 and 9th. 9am to 5pm Please stop by and say hello if your in the area.

We would like to publicly thank the Collings Foundation for allowing us to come over and join them. Their open support of the Corsair Restoration is greatly appreciated.

Drew pretty much summed it up. One thing I can say is that I hope this is only the first of many more videos to come. Its just a matter of finding the time to throw them together. Have to give props:

to Nicolas Cloutier, the filmography and editor of this little piece. I hope this is only the beginning of more videos to come. :D
And if anybody does make it out to the Sikorsky Airport during the Collings Foundation visit (Sept. 7-10) we'd love to meet and greet on the Tarmac. 8)

Anything special in the works yet for BDR as far as gathering/fly-in type of events goes for next year?

I will have to deffer to Jerry for any "Big Shows" happening. The Corsair crew is planning on having some events and may do a possible small event that is in the planning for the early spring . Nothing set in stone. Stop by Sikorsky Memorial Airport this week and see the Collings Foundation (24/17/51) and out own Startford Corsair (sections of it) on display.
