Hi guys!

Longtime lurker seeks assistance! I recently bought a couple of 1:72 Zero models and I'd like to build them as the two machines which appeared in the 2001 movie "Pearl Harbor". Based on what I've seen the PoF A6M5 appeared pretty much unchanged, but what of the other aircraft? I would love to see photos of either showing the paint worn during filming, and if possible the P-40E used as well?

I'd be more than happy to post pics of the completed trio in the appropriate subforum :)

And please, keep the movie-bashing to a minimum ;) I think the models will make a nice comparison against my "Tora!" Harvard model.

Hi Zac,

We had our P-40E painted in a couple of different schemes during filming. PM me and I'll be happy to send you some photos.

All the Kates and Vals on the Lexington were painted solid silver with "hollywood" paint. Still got some on my ramp. Not as easy to get off as expected.
