I had the immense good fortune to borrow my neighbor's new Nikon D300 for the show this weekend, and I did my best to wear it out. :) It's a pretty steep learning curve to figure out the various settings, and I'm not 100% happy with all the shots I took but there are a lot I'm pretty pleased with. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with the guys from the Capital chapter of the Aircrew Preservation Society, so I spent much of Saturday hanging out with them in their encampment... it was an awful lot of fun, I just wish there had been more US reenactors there since it looked like the Wehrmacht had overrun the freakin' airfield!

So enough yakkin', on with the pics...

And here is your intrepid reporter being escorted through the hangar by a beautiful young lady to see the "airpanes"...

It was a fantastic time, I was absolutely worn out by Sunday night, but it was VERY much worth it!

Cheers all,

Lynn

Lynn, good pictures, looks like you were out at least on Saturday, you should have given me a shout before the weekend and we could have got together. I only worked Saturday this year. Hope you enjoyed it, there will definitely be some new faces next year, look whats getting closer, shot this yesterday.

With that small oil cooler I hope they take the side cowling off or only fly it in the cool of the morning or that Argus will overheat quickly.
