Amazingly, yes, I've found a WWII aircraft link to the show Dirty Jobs.

I am watching the show right now where they are in Las Vegas and take the leftover food from the casinos and feed it to the pigs. It appears that the pens for the pigs are made of the pierced steel planking that they used for makeshift airfields. It also appears that the pig farmer is old enough to have served in WWII. Wonder if there is a connection....
