I bought a nifty military aircraft stick grip at a ham radio swap meet this morning, and I was hoping that someone here on WIX could identify it for me. I couldn't resist it for $10.00 :D

Its a standard B-8 grip, used on a variety of aircraft:

I received this reply via my private email:

[quote]
The grip is generic and is usable on several different types of aircraft. I've got several that were removed from F-84s that were being sent to Air Force target ranges in Arizona back in the early 70s. They were also used on F-86s, F-100s, F-101s, F-102s, F-104s, F-105s, F-106s, A-7s T-37s, F4s, and many others. And, even some military and civilian helicopters.

The number of prongs in the plug allowed for different things to be wired to the different buttons and the trigger.
[endquote]

Neato! Since the seller's dad worked at Lockheed, my grip might have come from an F-104. That'd be just fine with me!

Cheers!
