We just went through this with the same photo a couple weeks ago... 8) Don't let it discourage you from posting more, Jack! Always love your pics!

One captured Ju-290 was flown back to the States post-war, carrying the nickname "Alles Kaputt." Unfortunately it was later scrapped. Junkers also concocted an enlarged six-engine version, called the Ju-390!

I'd missed him too!

These kind of shots do seem like warbirders' playgrounds until you realise how many of the 'abandoned' aircraft were actually (or could be) booby trapped.

A timely reminder here with Private Snafu. Got to be one of the best set-ups in cartoonland:
