Most pictures I see of Aeronca Champ L-16s in US Air Force livery are silver, including the photo on our trusty WIX Resgistry.

My Warbird desk calendar shows some in an orange/yellow.

Does anyone have pictures of these little jewels in anything other than silver or yellow?

I have heard they served in Korea and so I am guessing they had to AT LEAST be green, if not with invasion stripes and shark's mouth's, No?

Weren't some airplanes destined for service over desert areas, painted pink? With the sun and the elements, the pink faded and it became a very effective cammo color?

There was a US (army?) color called 'Desert Pink'. Also many sand colours could fade to a pinkish hue. I'm not aware of a colour that started out pink and got more useful, except at car dealerships with lemons to shift. ;)
