P-51D "Miss Kentucky State"

Yesterday I saw a P-51D at the San Diego Air & Space Museum that is painted up as Tuskegee Airmen "Miss Kentucky State" #7. Is this the same aircraft that is listed on the Mustang Survivors website as 44-63615 at Seymour-Johnson AFB in NC? What is the history of the original "Miss Kentucky State" and its pilot? Does anyone know what the correct paint job should be for 44-63615? If this a different aircraft, what is the serial # for the D model in San Diego? If it is the same aircraft, why hasn't Mustang Survivors Website caught the change since the D model has been at San Diego for about 5 years now? Am I confused or what? Thanks for helping out this P-51 follower!

Just a question, is the latter one at Seymour Johnson or at Dover? Photos on airliners.net from 2006 says Dover. And I haven't seen any positively identified being from Seymour Johnson.

I loved this mustang when it was painted as the colorful "Contrary Mary" with owner Jimmie Hunt... I wish someone else would put those colors on a flying mustang...

I have a poster size picture of Jimmy landing at Breckenridge one year I would like him to sign for me. Anybody know where he is these days?

Was Jimmie Hunt the one who owned "Jumpin' Jacques" before it went to Europe?

The son - Mike Brown - has a website (I've got it somewhere) about the plane and the time his father owned it along with a few more pictures of it. Pretty good and worth looking for.

This airplane was painted as both Contrary Mary and "Jumpin' Jacques". (Per posts above)

Two different "Jumpin Jacques" here. Jimmie Hunt owned N5551D which became "Contrary Mary" and this is now in the San Diego museum. The one in the UK was N5411V before moving to a civilian owner in Colombia. It was then sold to Jacques Bourret in France who had it painted as "Jumpin Jacques".

Not that it matters for this discussion, but that's the first Mustang I ever worked on, back when Jimmy Hunt owned it. It was based at the Olive Branch Airport, just outside of Memphis, TN at the time.
