Now THAT is ironic...I rented a room from this very same John Foster who flew for VMF 222 in Englewood, CO about 20 years ago, very same guy...he noticed some of my warbird decor on one of his visits to my place and mentioned he flew for VMF 222 and that he had written a book called 'Hell in the Heavens' about his experiences with the unit...I made him a deal that I would make a model of his Corsair for him, he would sign a copy of his book for me, which he did.....lost it somewhere along the way....nice guy, believe his Corsair was #935 if memory serves...
