Beautiful! I am sorry I have to miss that show, but school calls. 'Cause ya know, learning EVEN MORE about the Cartesian coordinate system, or learning where a significant area of horsts in the States would be, or reading up on Bronfenbrenner is FAR MORE exciting than walking amongst a tarmac of war birds. I would at least like to learn if something is squarejohn 8)

Man, I love the Bald Eagle paint scheme. I must have had a cool Hot Wheels car painted like that when I was a little kid or something. :D The yellow & blue is by far my favorite color combination. 8)

Question: Why do the Clyman a/c have a bizillion kill flags and are named "Jackie's Revenge" or whatever it is?
Does that have some special significance or just a lack of imagination?

His wife is named Jackie and it's a tribute to her. He also was a big player behind Avirex USA and The Cockpit Catalog, so you'll see that on many of the planes as well.

This year the event in Millville was held at the new racetrack, actually tracks.
One is named Thunderbolt, the other Lightning.
Races were going on all weekend at each track. The place is huge.
There was also a car show and concerts. Lots of people.
Still, I bumped into Jeff taking photos. Nice to see him again.
Was hoping to see the Spitfire in Millville fly but it stayed in the hanger Saturday.
Here are a few shots of mine.

I'll have to yell at the kids.
Looks like they missed a spot while polishing.

Nice shots... On a personal note, my Aunt's father flew in 303 Sqn during the Battle of Britain, and later commanded the unit which the Spitfire, MK959, flew in. I have yet to figure out whether he actually flew MK959, but it's a nice thought to think he did, none-the-less. Would love to have been there with Panchito this weekend, but having the flu prevented that sadly. Thanks for posting the pics. I have heard that the spit is down at present due to tail gear issues.

Cheers,
Richard

Heh..Heh....Well for all you guys who complained about the poor lighting at TOM for the 4 P-47 formation pass, was this your RETAKE?

Image

Maybe Tom Duffy can get these guys up for WW2 weekend?

I read over on ASB where they were saying that people were being turned away by 11 AM because they were at capacity?
Nice line up but I'm glad I didn't make the 31/2 hour drive from LI. I hope they go back to the original airshow format at the airfield rather than the track.

RMA, as for the Spitfire in N. J. , I was told there was some repair needed on the elevator. I phoned Tom and offered to loan him the elevator from my plane. We talked some about a rental fee, but what I asked for was to be able to fly their plane in this show. He said he would check with the owner, whom I have never met, but in any case I never got any further phone call from them. I wish we could have done it.
