Many thanks Chris, the pics are awesome!

I am sorry I missed being there, but I watched it closely on all of the web postings.

Sounds like there were some pretty great races this year.

I plan on being there next year.

Steve

Absolutely spectacular photos...maybe the best I've seen on this forum to date. Thanks for taking the time to post them. I enjoyed Sunday there with my son who had as good a time as his dad did.

Great shots, Chris! I was there, but really stressing without a good camera along! Here's a few of Rare Bear "after". She was leaving a pretty good blood trail as they towed her back in.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

dumb question- 2nd picture from top (Tigercat), what's is going on with the top of the fuselage right behind the passenger canopy? Is that normal, an optical illusion, or is something bent there?

I don't think it's bent. It looks like an illusion due to shadows and reflection.

We had hoped the Raptor would maybe get to run the pylons, but no such luck.

Dammit, that was going to be my comment.

Nice pictures there.

Is that bearded guy a certain director/producer?

No it isn't. That is John Sessions. Now that you mention it, he does kind of resemble Steven Spielberg.
