Swweeeett! 8)

I was driving through eastern Maryland earlier this month and spotted an old AgCat on a little airfield. Didn't have time to stop and take a pic, though.

Last year I stopped at a rest area in northern Indiana, and there was a Turbo-AgCat working a nearby field. I'm sorry, but a turbine engine on a big brute bipe just sounds wrong. Reminded me of an old A-Team episode where they showed a C-130 turning up, with the soundtrack of an R-2800 coughing to life.

wow a great collection. some years back an expedition was arranged to find a limited number of avro arrow 1/2 scale models that were shot over lake ontario for aerodynamic testing. nothing has turned up. expedition done by the top canadian aviation museum. they used side scan radar, but to no avail.

I always wondered about trying to find magnesium models in water. Rather like searching for the Alker Seltzer... Presumably they'd considered that?

That was my understanding... but if they were, why'd they look? There was a bit missing somewhere, I think.
