I was going though my slides today and found these

I don't even remember where I took some of them, and I might have the A/C type wrong......

The derelicts were at Twin Pine, near Trenton, NJ taken in the early 1980's
Twin Pine had a 'reputation' as being the home to some 'aviation outlaws...

Gentltemen,

Can anyone offer a suggestion to the UC-64 unit this aircraft belongs? What is the insignia on the tail? The slide must have been taken in the late 1940 or early 1950 period?

I'm quite sure that the UC-64 was a civilian "warbird", and I'd bet the photo was taken in the 1970s. I believe the national insignia is not of proper proportions.

The UC-64 is N57WS and was taken at Harlingen, TX. Also taken at
Harlingen are the JU-52-3M (casa built) and the F-82. Some the others appear to have been taken at Tico Airshow in FL.

Where were the pics of the DeHavilland Beaver taken? Any idea of her SN or N number?

The Beaver, the Sikorsky H5-H, the AT-6/SNJ were all taken at Twin Pines in Mercer county, NJ. All of the planes are long gone and all except the Sikorsky are living much happier lives. Unfortunately, the local township forced the airport (which was privately owned) to close so that they could build a recreational area - love NJ politics...

David, thank you for the pictures! They have brought back many memories.

Of all those I see Id take that egg beater in the brush! Micky Roony always comes to mind.

The F-105B has some odd companions in the photo but the tiger emblem under the canopy shows it's an ANG bird from McGuire AFB. I believe that unit ended up with the surviving former Thunderbird F-105s. The unit converted to the F-4D in the early 80's and one F-105B was left on display outside the Guard gate. Last time I was there was probably 1986.

A lot of those pics are from The Valient Air Command's show at TICO in the mid to late 1980's. SPAD, Albatros, AT-11, Nord (ME-108)
I know, I was there and have similar photos.
