Talked to my dad last night. On tuesday, he planned on bringing out the N3N for the summer. We live on a 3000 ft grass airstrip where our N sits tied down in our back yard out in the open. When we are not intown, she is at another private airstrip in a hangar. Anyways, one of the bathroom faucets started leaking to a major leak. So dad got distracted with it and did not get time that morning to get the airplane. Well just into the afternoon, dad said the skies got dark and the wind picked up and what he called "texas sized hail" started comming down!!!! After the storm, dad when up to the other end and a good amount of the aircraft had dings and a J-5 was punched with holes.
WHEW!
