Bulgaria, excellent. Thank you.

I don't know whether or not they are for sale but they have been there for at least a year. The local youth have cut the chain link and were nice enough to scribe their names on the fuselage.

Sorry about that. Yeah, these aircraft are located in the small east Texas town of Payne Springs. Its right next to Gun Barrel City (yup thats a real town here :P ) on Cedar Creek Resevoir (off of 175 and 198).

For a minute I thought that was the Gun Barrel City halfway between Mayberry and Mount Pilot.

Ok gotcha. IIRC Mt Pilot was where all the swingers (1950s definition) from Mayberry went to party at the "members only" honky tonks, get their freak on and not be recognized. What goes on in Mt Pilot, stays in Mt Pilot.

Wow, I don't know of any other Bulgarian MiG's that have made it into the country. The vast majority of US MiG's are Polish, with a few Chinese variants here and there. Pretty cool stuff!

What kind of business/store is it where the one MiG is displayed indoors? As for the one stored outdoors, if the owner is smart he'll get the water out of that cockpit ASAP and throw a tarp over the canopy! THere's quite a few magnesium bits in there that don't like water.

Forget about a "Corsair in a barn"... how about a "MiG in a store" :D

Gun Barrel City, TX is about 175 miles north of Cut & Shoot, TX.

Texas is a state with character... or is that characters?

It used to be a boat dealership.
