Greetings all,

I have just received one beautiful image of British fighter Javelin. On the nose I noted some small logo in very light color and I would like to ask you for more info if possible.

Image

Cheers

It says "Hawker Siddeley Group" - Hawker Siddeley were the parent of Glosters who made the Javelin. The aircraft is a Javelin T.3, the dual control trainer version, and other pictures of the T.3 prototype WT841 show it with that logo on the nose, probably for the SBAC Display at Farnborough in the early 1950s.

Note that the part of the nose where the logo is applied is part of the radome on the operational Javelins but is metal on the trainer which has a much smaller radome.

The photograph seems to be taken from one of the company's Meteors (maybe G-AKPK).
