John H. McConnell, the Columbus Blue Jackets majority owner, passed today at the age of 84.
It rates posting here because he was an AA gunner on the Saratoga. We had a great talk about it one day during the Blue Jackets' charity golf outing. Mr Mac couldn't play any more, but he drove around on his golf cart (it was played on his own course, Double Eagle), and we drove around for about 30-40 minutes while I took pictures of his favorite spots on the course for him.
