Mark,
I have a friend that sent me a listing of airshows around the area.
I will see if I can dig it up and post it.

Best Regards,

Yeah Mark,

I am going to get a few shots of the B-17 if I can.
Thanks for the heads-up Tailspin!

Blueharma, Thanks for the list. I would like to get to a few shows here in state, especialy Rifle. I think it is not locally run, they turn the management over to someone out of town. Someone from Rifle left me a message, so I talked to a lady with the city there who seemed interested but nothing ever came of it. I talked to and sent a sheet to someone in Grand Junction but never heard back from them.
The plane is ready to go now, as soon as the packer returns the chutes. What it really need is a good wash job, and I hope to move it down to Boulder to do it.

I was told today that the show at Front Range won't be held June 27 and may be held in Sept. I can't verify this.

I wish...
I could see that in the Denver Region that Sentimental Journey and Aluminum Overcast will be within 20 miles of one another on June 4-8th.

If only... If only... they could fly together.

Code:
DATE:         AIRCRAFT                   N#           LOCATION
APRIL 19-20   B17 LIBERTY BELL           N390TH       JEFFCO AIRPORT(KBJC), STEVENS AVIATION FBO,11905 CORPORATE WAY, BROOMFIELD, COLORADO
JUNE  4 - 8   B17 ALUMINUM OVERCAST      N5017N       Centennial Airport(KAPA), SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT,8001 INTERPORT BLVD,ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO
JUNE  2 - 8   B17 SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY    N9323Z       (JEFFCO??? KBJC) DENVER,COLORADO

I sent an email to both marketing staff... one can only hope.
There is an opportunity for increased revenue. I would pay to see them fly together.

Well,
The Marketing people at EAA were kind enough to answer my email.
Of course FAA doesn't allow formation flying with passengers on-board.
That I should have known.

And the email also said that there was an airshow that the "Sentimental Journey" was attending. I was not aware of any airshow?????
Does anyone have further info about this airshow?

Best Regards,

Not an airshow, but on April 24th from 7-9pm, Wings over the Rockies ASM is hosting an open house and "sneak preview" of a new TV series on Carriers.
Meet the filmmaker and see a sneak preview of "Carrier," a new, character-based PBS documentary that follows the crew of a nuclear aircraft carrier.
Wings over the Rockies is at the old Lowry AFB.
