Oh for if these had become real warbird maybe in use in Vietnam imagine owning one nowdays

That must have been something to see that plane flying over the Chesapeake Bay. Imagine you're just a pleasure boater taking an afternoon cruise out of Annapolis and you see that. It's a shame none survived, but it seems like a lot of the Martin types are extinct or only a very few examples still exist.

There is a truly excellent book on this aircraft which covers the concept, inception and test program. Excellent photos and drawings support the text. Take a look at:
