An update on the FW 190 that I recently saw at Boulder. This info is what I think, don't know for sure. It is a homebuilt repilca, not original of course, or a Flugwerk copy. It may not be quite full size perhaps 7/8. It does look pretty big, definitely not one of the W A R smaller ones. It may have been bought from a man in San Antonio and now owned by Tom Edwards, who intendes to finish it to fly. It seems to have a steel tube frame for the fuselage, covered by aluminum. It is inside closed hangar and I've not seen much activity there so I don't have a photo, but I will keep my eyes open. The major components are there, but it will take a lot of work to get systems in and to complete. It does make a visual impact.

This sounds like the one that was on ebay not long ago. Was not full scale but it was big and it did have a tube fuselage. I even think it was powered by a 1830. Looked really neat. I remember it saying that it still had some design issues to cope with. Cant wait to see it.

Interesting stuff!
One can only hope that after the snow is gone
and the spring arrives that he will bring it out of the hanger to show at the next Boulder Municipal Airport Airport Day.
