40years ago Sgt Pepper taught the band to play..

nah folks but according to my notes 104years ago, the Wright Brother flew their plane for the first time in a full powered take off.

Wonder why no one think it matters on a warbird forum because it the starting point of all US based warbird if i am correct :)

During the ceremony at WPAFB, A C-5 "performed" the fly-by. You know, the big cargo plane with a wingspan greater than the distance of the first flight :P

One would think that if this guy was smart enough to have photographic evidence of glider flights, and smart enough to build and fly steam and kerosene powered heavier than air aircraft, that he would have been smart enough to have a photo taken of them. :oops:
