Gang, Just thought I'd Re-Post this, since it would make a GREAT X-Mas Gift for any WW2 Warbird Fan or AAF Veteran!!
Here's a place that sells all 78 episodes of the Classic "12 O'Clock High" TV Series on DVD for just $80. That's about $1 per episode...

I have a set & it's awesome!!

The video & audio are outstanding, they even include the color episodes!!...

Here's the "12 O'Clock High" Episode Guide:

Here's an interesting TV Guide interview with actor Paul Burke, the Star of the series:

Here's some more photos & info on the "12 O'Clock High" TV series:

http://www.aerovintage.com/tvtwelve.htm

You'll also want to get the "12 O'CLOCK HIGH LOGBOOK" by Alan Duffin. It's over 400 pages long & packed with great photos & info on the original book, movie & TV series.

Read the book reviews here:

http://www.amazon.com/12-Oclock-High-Lo ... ntagebooks

Lots of behind the scenes stories about the TV show. Like the time the crew edited a PORNO FILM into one episode & sent it off to the censors for approval. Ha! Ha! The crabby old lady censor who reviewed it didn't think that was funny!!
The pranksters were all fired the next day... Digger

WARNING: Shameless plug....

If you're interested in helping restore one of the planes used in 12 O'Clock High, and getting in a final tax-deductible donation for the year....

The Planes of Fame B-17 Picadilly Lily was used in the series and is currently undergoing restoration. We are actively seeking donations. As anyone who is involved in restoration work knows, the sooner we get the funds needed and move forward with the restoration, the less it will cost overall. If we receive funds to complete the restoration within the next two years (full time staff of 4 - 5 people), we estimate the restoration will cost about 1.5 million dollars. If we continue to get funds trickling in and work as we can afford, there's no telling how long or how much the restoration will take.

One of our members, Wilbur Richardson (age 86 years young) was a ball-turret gunner in WWII. He flew 30 missions in 79 days, including 2 on D-Day. He was hit in the hip with flak on his 30th mission and was sent home.

Our goal is to have Picadilly Lily back in the air while Wilbur is still with us to ride along. We've even promised him he doesn't have to ride in the ball turret unless he really wants to!

So help us bring this beautiful bird back to life. For more information, visit www.planesoffame.org

And now....back to our regularly scheduled programming :)

Just so people are aware, that link up above is for an UNAUTHORIZED bootleg copy of the series. It has not been released officially yet. I don't know what the quality of that series is like, but I have heard it was recorded off of the Canadian History Channel from t.v. I bought the "supposed" entire set of "12 O'clock High" from another internet site and I was extremely disappointed to watch it. It was absolutely horrible, abysmal quality and looked like it was recorded off of a 1st generation VHS recorded from the early 80's. It was a HUGE waste of money.

Your mileage may vary. I bought the bootleg Twelve O'Clock High DVD set from a private individual on the auction web site "iOffer.com" for $90, and the quality is superb. The video and audio are both excellent (for a mid 1960s TV production). I am thrilled with it! And yes, it was bootlegged from a Canadian TV network. Do a search on this topic here on WIX and you can read about my experiences with trying to buy the set from an internet vendor (not TV Addicts, but from what I understand, they "morphed" into TV Addicts, so it may be the same people; if that's the case, I would NOT buy from them).

Cheers!

These bootleg sites are beginning to spring up everywhere. Most of the stuff they offer is poorly mastered from VHS tapes. Save your money.

If they are willing to steal tv shows and sell them, imagine what they will do with your credit card number...

I agree, there's some real Hucksters out there that sell junky DVD sets. I got stung with a lousy "McHale's Navy" DVD set from a shady dealer. However, "TV Addicts" offers an Unconditional 30-Day Money Back Guarantee!! That's pretty good:

http://www.tvaddicts.tv/guarantee.php

Not many places offer that kind of Guarantee. Thier set is very good. I also purchased another "Bootleg" 12 O'Clock High DVD Set a few years ago & the quality was outstanding!! It was recorded off a Canadian Cable TV Station.
As long as there's a Money Back Guarantee, I wouldn't worry about it... Digger

I would just rather wait for the official release of the show on DVD instead of buying a bootleg copy. Instead of promoting a bootleg maybe we should promote a writing campaign to the studio that has the show to release it on DVD.

I'm really not all that hot on supporting the Pirate industry, and on the internet, a Guarantee is pretty much worthless.

Just my .02 cents!
