Warbird Information Exchange

It was great meeting up with Tim, Kelly and Ken on Saturday as well as meeting Jerry O’Neill and family on Sunday. My wife and I are still on the road and visited the Piper Museum in Lock Haven today. For the first time in a few days I had some time to look through a few of the many images I have taken over the last 10 days. We will still have a few more days to go before heading back to work on Thursday.

I was lucky to see the fighters fly on Saturday as high winds grounded them on the Sunday.

The Iron Eagle that flew by was Billy Segalla, Stan Segalla's (aka: the Flying Farmer) son. The other half of the Iron Eagles is Bill Gordon, who was hopping rides in the D-25A and flying the Fokker D-VII. Real nepotism going on there!!!

The Spartan C-3 hasn't flown in over twenty years. It was always on of my favorites, but it is regulated to the museum building on the hill for the time being.

I thought that was Bill Gordon we saw on Saturday.
He was laying on the ground duct taping a smoke generator to the main strut of the Albatross.

Sunday looked like fun too! Mr. Gugliatti Rocks!

BTW, the other half of the "Iron Eagles" aerobatic act that flew by on Sunday, Bill Gordon, was your Hudson valley Air Tours pilot. At least he kept you right side up!

Very cool. The last time I took a flight at Rhinebeck was in 1987 and Cole Palen wa my pilot.
