Last night as I was doing some channel surfing, the program, Mega-movers on History International did a story on Warbird recoveries. I missed the first 15 minutes but caught the rest which included the MAAM P-61 , Sitkin Island B-24 41-23908 at Hill, and the Focke-Wulf 190 out of Norway recoveries.

I saw it......pretty interesting stuff. Boy, that B-24 sure appeared to be in pretty rough shape. It looked to need a whole lot of sheet metal and structural replacement.....particularly the fuselage.

It is pretty nice that there are people with the time and money to do these type of activities. 8) 8)

Yeah, I watched it. Pretty good show.

Bugazon, what you missed in the first 15 minutes was the recovery of Glacier Girl.

As far as the B-24, if I'm not mistaken, the fuselage they used was not the one from the wreck site, but one from a PB4Y that they found in Florida.
