Tell you what is interesting about this video, the contractors are processing the scrap on site at 309th AMARG (new name for AMARC) instead of doing it outside at their own premises . Must be something to do with the recent surplus F-14 parts trouble.

YIKES...looks like two Fire Ants taking on a meal. At least after WWII, the returning PBJs were dumped in the ocean, in one piece.

Story from my Dad who stayed in Burma to ferry aircraft out after the war. He took off in a brandy-a$$-new Mustang but blew a tail wheel tire on take off. When he reached his destination he radio'd for instructions to protect the plane on landing. He was dutifully instructed to not worry as that aircraft and most he was ferrying were going to be bulldozed into a pit and burned...... AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!

Wow! For contrast, take a look at Armyjunk's sticky of the engaged Grumman employees building beautiful aircraft on the production floor, then watch that video. Sad really.

Maybe it is just me, but to me, it doesn't make me even get upset at the destruction.

Save a few for the viewing and crunch the rest of them. It is not like anyone is going to ever to be able to convert it for civilian use and fly it. too much money.

The only thing that upsets me is the cost of those planes and how much waste they are now.
