Yesterday was my last lesson

For a while, hopefully.
Mrs. Mudge's mother had another stroke on Saturday and is going to need "in-home" care for a while, if not permanently. Her insurance only covers a portion of the costs (a bit over half) so guess who gets to make up the difference?
Oh well...

I hope her Mom does well. People are a lot more important than even flying. My Dad had a stroke and lost some speech function, but in a year had recovered about 95%. Hey, you guys up near Mudge who are going flying in anything from a Cessna to a Connie, maybe if you have a seat available you can give him a call. Also Mudge you can use the time to do all your study for the written test and you can take and pass it. Have you been keeping up with that part of your training?

Bill, I took the written "review" that came with my Cessna Pilot Course and scored a 65 without having cracked a book in the last month. That's 768 questions. Most of the questions are multiply choice and I've always done well with those. I was blurry eyed when I finished. I'm sure with a little "book time" I can pass the real thing with no problem.

I'm very sorry to hear that.

Make sure that Mrs. Mudge doesn't hurt her self in the care-giving roll. It is a lot of work and a lot of stress. My Mom went through something very similar a few years ago with my Gram. It really made me worry for her because I could see how it was affecting her.

Dang, Sorry to hear this news. My wife and I spent quite a few years dealing with issues such as this...it's not easy.

Our prayers are with you and here's hoping that you will once agian find away to return to the skies!

dang, Mudge! sorry to hear BOTH bits of bad news. As has been said, it's good to hear that in your family, at least, there is someone to turn to now that she is elderly. As for not finishing your lessons...where there is a will there is a way!
