Here's hoping for some good weather after tomorrow. Since I left for home after Detroit on Saturday, I decided to stop by Geneseo on Sunday to see what was there. Here's what I saw, not pictured are two Waco UPF-7s, a couple of homebuilt biplanes, and four biplanes (Stearmans and possibly some Wacos) that I saw taking off when I got there but they never came back, at least not when I was around.

Great! I was grumpy before because I'm not not going........After viewing these, my mood has turned downright foul!

Nice photos! Thanks for posting them............You know now, of course, that I'll be expecting a full photographic essay, right?????

Well, I’m sitting here at the hotel room in Mt Morris waiting for the rain to stop. My wife and I made a run into the field and we are only 10 minutes away so that is close enough for me. If the weather blows over in a few hours I will head back to see what is there.

The two C-47s and the Belle were out and the hangar looked packed. I could see at least one if not two UPFs tied down by the VIP tent and the Warbird Adventure T-6s were covered up for the day.

Cheers,

Eric

Eric,

Does it look like the rains are going to muddy up the airfield or is this just a passing shower?

I'm heading up there on Friday. Not sure if I'm driving or flying up in "Take Off Time"

Just wanted to know how heavy the rains are.

Thanks

Greg

It has been a light rain all day and it just stopped with no more forecasted until Sunday. I would imagine the fields will be fine as they have not had much rain at all this year. It may just help keep the dust down. I will let you know what I hear about the conditions tomorrow.

Eric

It is starting to looking like a great weekend coming up and its getting very busy here. The rain cleared the haze out of the sky and the temps dropped anout 20 degrees from yesterday. The field is mowed and everyone is setting up for the event. Several od the WW1 guys flew in today and the Stearman wing-walker had waivered airspace tonight at 8:00 for a demo.

Don't want to dissapoint Beachgirl, so on with more photos. These are quick shots taken tonight, no processing since I need to go to bed since I do have a long work day tomorrow. I had to leave the field around 8 or so but we were treated to acts by Carol Pilom with the Stearman and then Bob Holland (?), during which I had to leave. It cleared up to be a great evening and as you can see, a few more planes were on hand today. Eric was also on the field, and can probably provide some more/better pictures.

Hey Ken, it was great meeting you and I hope we can talk more on the weekend. Chuck, I will look for you tomorrow and say hello.

Well, it sure turned out to be a great evening despite the rain all day. Once again the Canadians showed up in strength with Carol Pilon on hand, five aircraft from the Great War Flying Museum and a very late arrival by Dave and Robin Hadfield in the Vintage Wings of Canada FoxMoth.

Canadian arrivals for Friday should include the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association, VWoC Spitfire and P-51 and Russell’s Spitfire and Hurricane along with a selection of aircraft from the Tiger Boys.

Happy Landings,

Eric

It is a fine looking morning today. No haze and lots of sunshine. Woohoo! Can’t wait to get on the field.
