Walter Ehlers came ashore on D Day with the 1st division at Omaha Beach. Mr Ehlers received the M.O.H. for his actions on June 9th as the troops moved further inland. Mr Ehlers used to ride with us each year (3 or 4 years) in the half track in the Huntington Beach 4th of July parade. He was a wonderful gentleman and it was a great honor to know him. Cindy DeLaurell |
