Oh no no!!.........Second-hand info, but according to the people listening to scanners at w2lie.net it was a dark green plane. There is a P-40 based there with WOLI. I hope they are wrong. Pete |

I believe Mr. Baranaskas owns P-40E AK899. According to the registry a former gas station bird. My prayers go out to his family. Todd |

This is so, so, so very sad. Bob was a wonderful chap.... I had the great pleasure of flying with he and his son out to Thunder Over Michigan in 2007. Couldn't have been nicer people. Awful news... Richard Bob arriving at our staging point in Akron...

That is very sad. I am sorry for the loss of such a great person. That P-40 was also my favorite P-40 flying. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. |
