Oh no no!!.........Second-hand info, but according to the people listening to scanners at w2lie.net it was a dark green plane. There is a P-40 based there with WOLI.
I hope they are wrong.

Bob was a real gentleman and a wonderful ambassador for the warbird movement. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I believe Mr. Baranaskas owns P-40E AK899. According to the registry a former gas station bird. My prayers go out to his family.

This is so, so, so very sad. Bob was a wonderful chap.... I had the great pleasure of flying with he and his son out to Thunder Over Michigan in 2007. Couldn't have been nicer people.

That is very sad. I am sorry for the loss of such a great person. That P-40 was also my favorite P-40 flying. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.
