Hello all. I found this site by accident while surfing the net and also because I cannot depend on my brother's website to see up to date photos of his work so I must come here to see them.....

He is Jeff Nelson of Custom Connections, AZ.
I come from a family of warbird lovers and have been around them all my life. My father was a mechanic in the Korean war and retired during the Viet Nam era and my brother was a radar tech in the Viet Nam war. Unfortunately, I never joined the military immense amount of respect and love for it. I learned early on to build plastic models and with my dad joined IPMS although to his dismay I concentrated on building model cars. I have always had an interest in WWII and Viet Nam especially pertaining to airpower. In later years I helped my dad work on the CAF's MN Wing's B25 back in the 70's and became a volunteer there many years later on the Red Tail P51 prior to it's crash and taking the life of squad leader and friend Don Hinz. Unfortunately I never went back after the crash.
Thanks to my dad and brother I have been fortunate to ride in several warbirds including my first ride which was a Ford Tri motor that my dad got me up in at Oskosh, Bill Hanes P51D "Ho Hun", the MN CAF's T-6, and a few others over the years. Another friend of mine Mike George recently allowed me to use his Illinois based P51D "Worry Bird" in a photoshoot with one of our recent Chevelle restorations. We will be using his Corsair in a shoot with another restoration of a Camaro shortly.
I cannot bring a lot to the board other than a huge interest in these airplanes and their history but hope to hang around and enjoy them anyway. I own and operate a high end muscle car restoration business here in Illinois and like my brother am extremely anal about details. Hopefully I will be welcomed here.
Rick
