Hello everyone! I'm Joel- I'm normally a Hot-Rodder but I've always been into warbirds ever since I went to my first airshow. I live about a half hour from the late Gerry Beck's shop in Wahpeton, ND and I remember going over there with the EAA group and seeing his amazing facility and projects. I always wanted to be a part of that. In the hot rod business I do a lot of metal shaping and things and I think that it would transfer over well to warbird manufacturing.
Nevertheless, the reason I'm here is because some things from the aviation world cross over to the hot rod world- things like guages, air tanks, and yes, seats. I came across what has since been identified as a P-47 seat last weekend. I've always wanted a bomber-style seat in my hot-rod because one of my old-timer friends has a pair of seats out of a T-6 Texan in his hot rod... but ultimately if the seat were to get back into the right hands I'd feel pretty good about that too. I'm just too excited to have it right now to sell it right away.
I guess I'll stick around a learn a few things while I'm at it!
