Hello! I'm Bill from Georgia, and although I've never been fortunate enough to be "hands-on" with any warbirds, I'm very interested in them, especially WWII-vintage surviving aircraft.
I stumbled across this site while trying to research the various aircraft I accidentally came across in Beijing, China, back in 2011. I was staying in the Vision Hotel, and outside my window was an incredible collection of interesting, rare, and (unfortunately) decaying aircraft. Turns out this collection was the topic of several threads here on the site, primarily due to the P-61 Black Widow.
Anyway, the site seemed interesting, so I thought I'd join and say "Hi." BTW, here's the photo I took back in May of 2011:
