Warbird Information Exchange

I need some information on how to hook up an Eclipse 444 starter. The Part #43 overhaul manual does not cover this subject. Mainly what does the small stud do? Next what does the control arm with the two holes do? I know the big stud takes 12V, and the one long arm pushed out the bendix, is the small stud internally wired to the long arm solenoid?
