Post subject:  12.50SC Tailewheels - which versions of T-6/Harvard

Hi, amongst a batch of T-6 stuff we brought recently is a pile of 12.50SC tailwheels, the type held together by the snap-ring. Without the manuals for the full range of T-6s to hand, does anyone here know which sub-types these tailwheels fitted?

Many thanks

Up to 1st several hundred AT-6D and SNJ-4 they used 10" SC size rim and tire. The Yoke with the axel is smaller dia.
After that point it was 12.5" SC and later the 12.5 x 4.5. The Yoke with the axel is the same so either can be used.
On the T/W rims check for bearing size as they were made for straight axels, both bearings the same, and tapered axels, 1 large and 1 small bearing.
T-6 requires 1 large and 1 small bearing as the axel is tapered.
12.5 SC tires have been out of production for many years. I guess the nose wheel for an Ercoupe is being used but looks a little different.
