Is the PBY in Madras, OR still flying? If so, are rides available?
Sorry to be so long in answering this question. I asked the museum people at Madras about this and received some information. The airplane is definitely flyable, as they ferried it from Tillamook to Madras a couple of months ago and Doug Griffin, the pilot, reported that it flew well with no real problems.
I was also told that you can still use the "Contact Us" button on the old museum website to contact the Madras museum and they are working on a new website for the Madras museum. Here's the link:

I heard a rumor that the PBY may be going on a tour on California this year, although I don't have a confirmation on that. There was also an assumption that rides would be available, although I have no idea as to what the cost might be.
