Does anyone know what type of HUD (Gunsight) was installed in the early A-7A Corsair II? I think that the D models and beyond had AN/AVQ-7. We have a IPB for the aircraft but they don't list it. I'm calling it a HUD (Gunsight) because the only reference that the IPB has is an overall drawing of the cockpit and they label it as a gunsight.
Thanks

Thanks for the link but this is the AVQ-7 that was used in some of the later models. What we are looking for is the really early version before the AVQ-7 was used. We have both a Flight Manual and an IPB for the A-7A but neither lists a part number, they just say "gunsight" - frustrating!

Wow, great link. This will help with a lot of our other projects at the Museum but we are still looking for the type of gun sight that was installed in the early A-7As, before the AVQ-7 HUD.
Thanks
Ron
