Hi,
My name is Ben Marsh and I am a warbird enthusiast...feels abit like AA. Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself to this forum site with a short background. I look forward to meeting and chatting with some of you all going forward.
Briefly, I restore and fly airplanes. My first project, a partnership, was to restore a BT-13B. Built it, flew it, sold it then imported a Yak-52 projected sight-unseen. I've campaigned the airplane for 10-years, but am planning to sell it to help fund my 4th project, an SNJ-4. After the -52, I happened onto a Yak-55M that was badly damaged in '93 after an engine failure and off-field landing. It was hurt, but not an impossible restoration. Sometimes you've just got to save'm. Today, it is flying and one of the nicest examples of a Yak 55M around. Within the past several months, I purchased a SNJ-4 project; 'making big headway on that tubeframe-up restoration.
That's mostly it about me. I attend the air races every year, crewing with Sanders.
Again, I look forward to chatting with you all going forward.
Good Cheers,
Ben
