I just joined, great forums for info!

I maintain a Mk. 4 Harvard, removed the heating duct ass'y that runs fore and aft along the lower inside area of the R/H fuselage side panel(I don't see the duct in the T6 parts book)for some sheet metal work on the R/H side panel, found rectangular "pads" between the duct and the side panel skin. They have a whitish colour so I suspect they are asbestos, prob. for keeping heat away from the side panel skin. Lance does not list anything for these, the Harvard parts book lists P/N 66-31057-2, qty. 1, "insulation- heater duct to side panel" for the Harvard Mk. 2 & 2A, and qty. 1 each of 45-31057-2 & 45-31057-3 same description for Harvard Mk. 4.

Has anyone run into this before? Any non-asbestos replacements?

Thanks for any help,
Per Talgoy
