Hi,

We have a need to identify a helicoil which could be used to receive an AN4 bolt or stud. Anyone have any ideas what may be suitable?

Many thanks

The Helicoil for a AN-4 is 1/4-28 thread. You can buy several different length helicoils, so find one that works for your problem.

NAPA has excellent aviation helicoil kits for sale with the tools and inserts. I'd start with their website or catalog.

Hi gents, many thanks for your responses.

EA, I've had a look on the NAPA site but can't find the helicoils. Do you have a link at all?

Thanks

A quick drive to the neighborhood 'NAPA Aerospace Supply' store should net you the Helicoil kit as they will probably have one or more in stock, or can get one from the warehouse by tomorrow, I've been in a NAPA warehouse in a large city and it's absolutely 'WE BE TOYS -N-STUFF' for motorheads, the next closest is a GRAINGER warehouse.

Try this:

http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Result.aspx?N=39570

If the link doesn't work, hit the NAPA site and search on keyword helicoil....take the second result and go to the helicoil kits...expand to 50 items per page and scroll as necessary....Just make sure that you are ordering standard or inserts as required.
